Biography
Liubov Kochetova is an international Olympic equestrian athlete that has an impressive global FEI record - from participating in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing to gaining victories and high placings in multiple World Cups, Nations Cups, World Equestrian Games, and European Championships over her professional career.
Liubov has repeatedly proven to turn young horses into world champions and top-bred stallions. Her original mount Royce (by Cafe au Lait and Contender) has come out on top time and time again at the most competitive global FEI events, both under Kochetova and Royce’s current pilot, Margie Engle. Margie and Royce have dominated many CSI5* classes as well as World Cups and Championships over their 12 years together as a duo.
The same goes for Balou du Reventon (by Cornet Obolensky), who has been awarded international horse of the year in 2021 for his unparalleled performance and recently secured the top finish at CSI5* Nation’s Cup in Aachen. Up to 2021, Balou was claiming consecutive victories from one top championship to another across Europe and the US under Irish athlete Darragh Kenny. Now, the incredible 16 year old stallion continues to outperform his rivals at the most elite level of show jumping with US rider Brian Moggre. The young rider and Balou challenged rivals at the most difficult global event of 2022 - ECCO FEI World Championships at Herning, Denmark.
Some of Liubov’s other notable contributions to the FEI world include Veneno, Exelero, Aslan, Veyron, Paganini 170 who are all currently piloted by top ranking FEI athletes across the world. Ben Asselin, a young FEI rider for Canada, has performed at the most difficult international starts with stallion Veyron, and the pair has secured several notable wins. Meanwhile, German athlete Nicola Pohl has taken both Exelero and Veneno to acclaim superb results at the FEI arena in Europe.
Liubov continues to invest time and effort into developing youngsters into outstanding, world-known names that dominate the equestrian field.
